Equipment for Member's Use

Wood Lathes - there are currently eight full size lathes in operation (and one mini lathe - used mainly for demonstrations).  Lathes are a variety of brands; with some slightly different features.

CNC Router - with a 600mm x 900mm x 200mm working area, the mini tabletop CNC Router has numerous applications for a hobbyist; making children's toys, all types of signs, building numbers, carving intricate decoration, carving, sculpting - just to name a few.  Use of this machine is limited to trained operators.

CNC Laser Wood Engraver - with a 900mm x 600mm bed size, the laser wood engraving machine uses a CO2 laser to engrave and etch many wood products and is capable of engraving vector and picture files directly.   Use of this machine is limited to trained operators.

Table Saw - large saw for ripping and cross cuts to a maximum depth of 75mm.  Blade can be tilted and some sleds/jigs are available.

Slide Miter Saw - Bosch brand, soft start, brake system, precision laser and dust extraction.  It has a 104mm vertical cut, a 341mm horizontal cut, a 52 degree mitre angle range and a 47 degree bevel angle range.

Planer Jointer - has a 150mm width capacity and a 13mm rebate capacity.
